#NewMusicMondayz: 12/26/2016 – by Blair Cassuto
The year is coming to a close, and artists are taking advantage of their off time by releasing brand new music to keep you satiated until 2017.
This week’s playlist has a new song from one of our favorite rising artists, 24hrs, the Head Honcho of The Private Club with brother MadeinTYO and first lady Salma Slims. Since ditching the alias “Royce Rizzy,” 24hrs has been progressing with every new song he drops, and his new song “Malibu” featuring Post Malone is no exception. After hearing it once, we knew we had to make it our last Hpnotiq Track of the Week for 2016!
(24hrs is currently on The Open Late Tour with special guest Ye Ali. See if he’s coming to your city by clicking here.
Speaking of Ye Ali, the California-based rapper teamed up with Jahkoy for “Acceptance.” Jahkoy has been on everyone’s radar this year, so to see him work with talented singer/songwriter, Ye, will only help solidify himself as an artist with a stronghold on the game. His new song is the perfect morning tune to get your right for your drive to work tomorrow.
Our girl Justine Skye just dropped her new project, 8 ounces, which was produced and written by the legend, The Dream. She showcases her strong vocal ability in her new song “Agenda,” featuring Wale. She has been quietly working on music in the studio for the past year and a half, and we’re ecstatic for her that she’s finally giving us a taste of what she’s been working so hard on.
Other notable mentions are Quentin Miller’s new song with Jeremih, Chance The Rapper’s new track “I Should’ve Left You,” and Russ’ “Ain’t Nobody Taking My Baby.”
Sit back, relax, and press play. It’s the last #NewMusicMondayz of 2016!
